Teen Library Council
What is the Teen Library Council?
- Our Teen Library Council (TLC) provides teens ages 14-17 with the opportunity to make a positive difference in our community and have input in the way the Library serves teens.
What We Do:
- Promote and help out at children and teen programs.
- Serve as an integral part of our Summer Reading Program volunteer team.
- Give back to the community through outreach projects.
- Provide input for what programs teens need from the Library.
What You Gain:
- Volunteer credit
- Skills and experience (this looks great on a college or job application!)
- New friends
- The chance to have a positive impact on your community
Requirements & Commitment
- 14 to 17 years of age
- An e-mail address that you check regularly
- Attend the monthly meetings
- Sign up to assist in running Library events
- Spread the word about teen programs happening at the Library
