Purchasing and Scheduling
Cemetery fees are set by City Council, and typically see a small increase each year. The City cannot “hold” lots in the cemetery for future purchase, so the only way to assume rights to a particular lot is to purchase it.
Cemetery services are coordinated with the City by the funeral home, and should be scheduled at least 48 hours in advance of the desired time of service. City grounds staff will assist in locating the chosen plot, coordinating staffing, and assisting the vault company in opening and closing for burial.
