Building Improvements: Courtyard

The courtyard renovation will transform an underutilized, fenced area, into a vibrant, accessible "pocket park," enhancing community connectivity, relaxation, and social interaction in downtown Camas. This initiative helps to address the need for much-needed green spaces in downtown Camas and provides outdoor space to foster stronger community bonds and support local cultural activities.

Key components include:

• Flexibly Designed Seating: The courtyard will feature a series of benches, connecting into the shape of a flower, designed to encourage both solitary reflection and group interactions. This innovative design will provide a venue for community conversations, educational lectures, and casual encounters among residents from diverse backgrounds.

• Community Engagement and Enrichment: The new courtyard aligns with the Library’s mission to "serve the community with meaningful connections, engaging enrichment, and pathways to knowledge."
