Land, People & Honesty
When I was younger, I had a mantra I would say in my head that would help me during times that I felt fear. It was LPH, standing for Love, Peace and Harmony. I had almost forgotten the mantra until I decided to run for Mayor a month before the election in 2019. LPH swirled through my head, however this time I interpreted as Land, People and Honesty and that was what I ran my campaign on.

LandWe’re ensuring that we’re protecting the land and that we understand it’s a huge resource that we don’t want to lose. Quite simply, it’s our responsibility. I don’t want houses on top of houses, and I don’t want ridiculous traffic. By that I mean, I’m not for growth simply for the sake of growth. However, I understand we have to grow, but it needs to be smart growth. I want to ensure we protect land for future generations and ensure everyone has a chance to be involved with the process of planning for the future. |

PeopleWhen it comes to people, that’s what a community is, that’s what a town is and without it we have nothing. As Mayor, I’m committed to sharing with you how the city works, what the processes are and how you can get involved. I want the vision to be the peoples’ vision and I can’t create that without you. |

HonestyIn dealing with any issue, I want to ensure the facts are presented clearly and the process to how decisions are made makes sense. If we address our people and problems with honesty, we’ll find the right solutions and have the right conversations. I’m not looking to be a politician, I am looking to ensure we have clear process that protects this community and ensures decisions are understood. |
