Camas Assistance Program (CAP)

The Camas Assistance Program provides financial support for eligible customers that are delinquent on a City of Camas utility bill.

Donating to Camas Assistance Program: 

If you would like to make a donation to the Camas Assistance Program, please send a check, separate from your utility bill, with “Camas Assistance Program Donation” on the memo line and mail it to City Hall: 616 NE 4th Ave, Camas, WA 98607. If you are paying at the finance counter in City Hall, please let the cashier know that you would like to make a donation.

Applying for Camas Assistance Program

Qualifying households may receive one credit per twelve months towards a utility balance. Senior citizens may qualify and receive utility assistance twice in twelve months.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

1. Completed application listing all household residents and their ages
2. Government-issued identification for the primary applicant (if available)
3. Income verification for all household residents who are (1) age 18 or older, or (2) who contribute to household expenses

Accepted forms of ID include:

• State driver's license or identification card
• Millitary identification card
• United States Passport
• Permanent Resident Card

Accepted forms of income verification (provide all that apply):

• Payroll, disability, or unemployment stubs
• Low income or public assistance acceptance letters ( TANF, food stamps, VA, etc)
• Social Security, retirement, or pension statements
• Federal income tax return for the most recent full year
