Fire Permits

The Camas-Washougal Fire Department administers fire and life safety regulations for all properties within the Camas and Washougal city limits. Permits must be obtained from the Fire Marshal's Office (FMO) for construction-related permits including but not limited to new construction, alteration, demolition, new occupancies, changes of occupancies, and installation of fire alarm and/or fire suppression systems.

The department also issues permits for operational activities in compliance with state law and the International Fire Code (IFC) for activities including but not limited to fireworks, explosives, hazardous materials storage, underground tank removal, compressed gasses, hot work, spray finishing, storage of high-piled combustible materials, and all other activities that are deemed hazardous by the Fire Marshal.

Officials with the City of Camas are Excited to Announce the Launch of EPL, our New Online Permitting System!

EPL will provide applicants with 24/7 access to apply for permits online, track permitting status, make inspection requests, and manage application re-submissions all in one user-friendly platform.
