NPDES Permit
The City of Camas (City) operates under a National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Phase II Permit issued by the Washington State Department of Ecology (Ecology). The NPDES Permit is a set of guidelines that regulates stormwater runoff management of the Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4). The City is committed to protecting water resources and complying with permit requirements. The NPDES Permit requirements have eight basic categories: stormwater planning; public education and outreach; public involvement and participation; MS4 mapping; illicit discharge detection and elimination (IDDE); controlling runoff from development; operation and maintenance (O&M); and source control program. Annually, the City reports to Ecology on the progress of the previous year’s Stormwater Management Program and provides an updated Plan for the coming year. Below you will find the latest Annual Report and Stormwater Management Plan (SWMP) that were submitted to Ecology.
Please submit any comments and/or concerns regarding the SWMP to the NPDES Permit Coordinator, bmonnin@cityofcamas.us
