Council Member John Svilarich

Position: At Large (All Wards)
John was sworn into office on January 2, 2024, to the position of At-Large for his first full-term on City Council for the term ending December 31, 2027.
John has been part of the Camas community since 2002 when he and his family moved into the Prune Hill area. His sons went to school here and still live nearby. John has been a regular volunteer and supporter of the entire community. He has been the President of his large HOA much of the time he has been here. He served three years on the Citizens Advisory Committee to the Camas School District. He sat on the school district's Long Term Capital Projects Planning committee. For the Port of Camas-Washougal he served on the Waterfront Advisory Committee. John has also worked with the City on the Website Review team and recently the North Shore Citizens Advisory Committee.
John holds a Bachelor's degree in Marketing and Finance from CSU Sacramento and various professional certifications. He loves our trails, parks and outdoor spaces. He can often be found along one of our many trails or rivers, walking his dog and enjoying nature.
