John Nohr was first appointed to the position of Camas City Council Member Ward 1 and subsequently sworn into office on October 17, 2022, term ending November 28, 2023.
John has lived in Camas since 2007. He has served on the Camas Salary Commission since 2013. He is also active as a board member for the North Clark County Community Food Bank and is a board member for Trauma Intervention Programs (TIP).
John has a Bachelor's of Science in Fire Service Administration from Eastern Oregon University. He has been in the fire service for over 35 years as a firefighter, paramedic, and chief officer in Portland for over 28 years, and is currently in his eighth year as Chief at Clark-Cowlitz Fire Rescue. John spends his spare time exploring the back roads and trails of the Pacific Northwest on his motorcycle.
