Business Licensing

Business License Requirements

The City of Camas requires a license for businesses located within city limits or conducting business within city limits. If you are not sure if you will do business within the city limits, please review Camas Municipal Code (CMC) 5.02.010 G to determine whether your business activities meet the requirements for a license.

Title VI Non-Discrimination Plans and Annual Report

It is the City of Camas policy to assure that no person shall, on the grounds of race, color, or national origin including limited English proficiency, as provided by Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be otherwise discriminated against under any of its programs and activities.

Fair Housing, Your Rights and Responsibilities

All inhabitants of Washington have certain rights and responsibilities under the Law Against Discrimination (RCW 49.60). Ward Information

The City of Camas has three wards. Of the seven elected Council members, there is one elected at-large and six elected within wards. The wards are established based on population estimates within the City's boundaries and are reviewed and modified periodically by Council.

City Council Workshop - 4:30 p.m.

Workshop Meeting Information

  • Workshop sessions are held the first and third Monday of the month from 4:30 p.m. until adjournment.
  • Located in City Hall Council Chambers, 616 NE 4th Avenue, Camas. 
  • If a holiday falls on the Monday of a Council Workshop meeting, the meeting is held on Tuesday.

Meeting Information

City Council Meetings are held the first and third Monday of the month from 7:00 p.m. until adjournment at Camas City Hall, 616 NE 4th Avenue. To participate remotely, see the agenda, published four days before the meeting, for the Zoom details.  Note: if a holiday falls on the Monday of a Council meeting, the meeting is held on Tuesday.

Council Member Melissa Smith

Term: January 1, 2018 - December 31, 2021
Position:  Ward 1

Melissa Smith was appointed by Council to the position of Ward 1 in 2004 and was elected in November 2005 for a four-year term. Melissa was re-elected for her fourth term beginning January 1, 2018, through December 31, 2021.

Term:  January 1, 2018 - December 31, 2021
Position:  Ward 2

Council Member Martin Elzingre

Term: April 21, 2025 - November 25, 2025
Position: Ward 2

Martin Elzingre was sworn into office on April 21, 2025, to the position of Ward 2, Position 1. Martin was appointed to serve on City Council by a unanimous vote for the term ending November 25, 2025.
