Utility Billing
The City provides its residents with water, sewer, garbage, and recycling service, and bills for all utility services on a bi-monthly schedule. As a result of maintaining and generating billing, Finance Department staff members work closely with water and sanitation staff and are the primary point of contact for utility customers.
In addition to providing customer service for utilities, the Finance Department also processes all utility payments. With current trends of increasingly automated and instant online payment options, the department has focused in recent years on offering a greater variety of secure payment methods including accepting credit and debit cards via the web.
Making Utility Payments

New Features
New Customer Portal
Our new software will provide more citizen self-services than we currently offer. Customers will be able to start/stop their service, view their billing statements, see their consumption history, manage auto-payments and more!
Electronic Statements
City of Camas utility customers are able to have their utility billing statements emailed to them instead of waiting for it to come in the mail. If you don’t sign up for electronic statements, we will continue to mail them to your address.
Direct Renter Billing
Tenants of single-family residences* will now be able to create their own utility account and sign up to have the statements mailed in their name.
*Please note that tenants of apartment buildings and tenants of condos or other multi-unit dwellings on a shared water meter will not be able to utilize this option.
Other Changes
Payment Processor
We have changed our online payment processor. If you were previously enrolled in automatic payments, you will need to re-enroll for automatic payments in our new customer portal.
Payment Due Dates
Starting with your May 2025 statement, payment due dates and delinquent billing dates will be changing. Your May 2025 statement due date will be May 21, 2025. All future monthly bills will be due on the 21st day of the bill month.
Monthly Billing
Starting with your June 2025 statement, the City of Camas will be changing from bi-monthly billing of City utilities to monthly billing. Your last bi-monthly statement will be mailed on or around May 1, 2025 (for the March and April billing cycle).
Account Number Changes
The first set of numbers of your old utility account number will now be your 'Customer ID' (A customer whose current utility account number of 123456-000 will now have a Customer ID of 123456). The service address will be assigned a new 'Account Number' that is different than the current utility account number. You will need both of these numbers to register for the new online utility access portal.
You can make sure we have your current contact information by filling out the form at Engage Camas.
