Our Kid Librarian program is quickly winding down for the winter but before we say goodbye to our weekly features, please say hello to Emma! Emma, age 9, is this week's Kid Librarian. She is currently reading The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan and is a fan of Geronimo Stilton and Nancy Drew. Her display has a great mix of graphic novels and contemporary fiction. This week we have another Kid Librarian with a recent birthday! Kenna just turned 6 and we are so excited to display her beautiful artwork and favorite books. We are excited to present Linleigh as this week's Kid Librarian. Linleigh, age 11, enjoys discovering new books at the Library and is a fan of our book and music collection on Hoopla. Presenting Emma, this week's Kid Librarian! Emma is 7 and she is a huge bookworm. We love to see it! Her list of favorite books is incredibly varied and has a little something for everyone. Come on down to the Library - we're positive you'll find a book worth reading on Emma's shelves!
It's our pleasure to introduce Eleanor as this week's Kid Librarian. Eleanor loves reading mythological tales and stories of perseverance like "Diana and the Underworld Odyssey" by Aisha Saeed. Eleanor will be turning 6 next week and to celebrate, we are giving away free books! Just show us your library card and you can take home as many books as you can carry. Say hello to Sophia, this week's Kid Librarian! Sophia is 8 and is a big fan of the "Phoebe and Her Unicorn" graphic novel series by Dana Simpson. When asked what she would like other people to know about the Camas Library, she said, "The Camas Public Library is not just for checking out books, you can go there for a quiet place to relax. I have been coming to events and storytimes here since I was a baby!" We're so happy to have you at our Library, Sophia!
We are excited to introduce this week's Kid Librarian: Kyla! Kyla is 10 years old and loves sitting in our comfy chairs and reading the books she has borrowed. Her favorites include the "Wings of Fire" series by Tui Sutherland and the "Science Comics" graphic novels. She encourages everyone to visit the library, especially if you've never been here before!
Ben (7) is this week's Kid Librarian and we couldn't be more excited! His favorite part about visiting the Camas Library (aside from reading books) is borrowing the DVDs for his family's movie night. He recommends a lot of great graphic novel series including "The Super Sidekicks" by Gavin Aung Than and "The Bad Guys" by Aaron Blabey.
Ellie (6) is this week's Kid Librarian! Some of her favorite authors are Dr. Seuss, Jory John, and Mo Willems. She wants to let you know the Camas Library is "a fun place filled with the best books and people. Getting a library card was easy and I even got to pick my own card!"
