Application Process
Job Announcements and Employment Application
The City accepts applications for open positions only. A job announcement is posted on this website with all pertinent information including the job description. It is important that you review the job description carefully to see that you meet the minimum qualifications. The City requires a completed online application to qualify you for the application process. Incomplete applications may disqualify you from advancing through the process. Online applications will not be accepted after the posting deadline.
Studies have shown that women and people of color are less likely to apply for jobs unless they believe they can perform every job description task. Our talent acquisition goals include hiring the candidate who is best able to meet the performance objectives of the role. We will consider any equivalent combination of knowledge, skills, education, and experience to meet minimum qualifications. If you are interested in applying, we encourage you to think broadly about your background and skill set for the role.
The online portal for submitting applications is through a third party vendor, NEOGOV. If you have problems creating a NEOGOV account or logging-in to your account, please contact the NEOGOV Customer Support at 1-877-204-4442
Resumes and Other Attachments
The City encourages applicants to attach resumes or other information that will support your application and assist us in the selection process. You must complete the requested information on the online application even if it duplicates your resume and work history. Please do not use “see resume” on your application.
Interview and Testing
Every effort is made to notify selected applicants for an interview as soon as the recruitment closes. If selected to proceed through the process, you will be called for an interview or sent information notifying you of the time and place of the interview and in some cases, the time and place for testing. Because of the volume of applications received, please do not contact us regarding your application status. We will keep you informed of the status of your application through email.
