Keep a phone with you, even phones without service can make a 911 call.
When it's really cold or really hot outside, go to a shelter.
Essentials for cold weather: clean/dry socks and something to cover your hands and head.
Essentials for hot weather: sunscreen, water for hydration.
Drink water to prevent dehydration & hypothermia.
Clean up your garbage and keep the area sanitary to prevent disease and infestation.
Keep your property with you to prevent theft and properly dispose of what you do not need.
Avoid conflict with others.
