Kid Librarians

March 10, 2023 – Our second year of Kid Librarians was a rousing success! If you missed any of the weekly features, I’ve put a few highlights together for each Kid Librarian.

Signups for 2023’s Kid Librarians will be available in the fall. Until then, happy reading!

Samyukta included The Complete Baking Book for Young Chefs by America’s Test Kitchen in her display of recommended books. She also added The Baby-Sitters Little Sister and Babymouse graphic novels to her shelves.

What is your favorite part about visiting the Library?

I love the books, but additionally I enjoyed story time and the New Years’ Party we participated in pre-pandemic.

What would you like people to know about the Library?

It has a large selection thin of fiction and non-fiction books. Additionally, I enjoy the computers, and when I was littler I liked the play area. The librarians are really helpful when I ask questions.

They have a good selection of books and a nice reading room. They also have a section of books for sale so don’t forget to bring cash.

Even though the library looks boring on the outside, it's super exciting on the inside with computers, books, and a fun kid section.

What would you like people to know about the Library?

Camas Library is a great place to find books in all categories and has a great choice of books for everyone. Visiting the Camas Library inspires reading and the different activities they put up for us every month especially during holiday seasons are very interesting!

What is your favorite part about visiting the Library?

Even though the library looks boring on the outside, it's super exciting on the inside with computers, books, and a fun kid section.

What would you like people to know about the Library?

I love collecting reading dragons trading cards, I have approximately 50 cards so far! I also love the seating arrangements where I can sit and read in different spot each time especially the soft seats! I love the week junior magazine! Sometimes you can spot the library in my Instagram page, Aaria.bookclub where I suggest engaging books to reluctant readers, which started in the pandemic! It was helpful to many parents and kids.

There are fun activities that you can sign up for like Book Clubs.

The fun activities they have, like scavenger hunts.

The Camas Library has a cool courtyard and some great trees outside.

Seeing all the books and getting to pick some out.

There are a lot of books and a lot of history in this library.

Finding new books to read and reading dragons program.

I would like them to know that the library has a YouTube channel.

The Reading Dragon program to get dragon cards for reading.

The Book Clubs and Kids Art Club activities are fun!

What is your favorite part about visiting the Library?

We like all activities at the library: Crafts, Lego and watching movies in summertime with Library made POPCORN!

Library has a lot of activities (book club, crafts and many more...).

I love the library because I can rent books there and I can try new things. I like the shelf where you can buy books for $1.

It’s big and they have lots of varieties of books.

Camas Library is located close to our house and easily accessible, and it has a variety of books in all categories!

What is your favorite part about visiting the Library?

I usually like looking for books. I usually start with a search on the computer and then hunt the shelves for the books I want. I don’t always know what books I want to read, but when I see it, I know.

What would you like people to know about the Library?

The Camas library is a great place to go to get answers. It’s also just a nice place to hang out in for a while.
