Camas-Washougal Burn Ban Effective Immediately - 7-23-2024

Due to increased temperatures and dry conditions, and the fire danger inherent to these conditions, Camas-Washougal Fire Department Fire Chief Cliff Free and Fire Marshal Ron Schumacher have issued an immediate ban on outdoor recreational fires in the cities of Camas and Washougal. 

All outdoor fires using wood fuel are prohibited.  Barbecues or grills using charcoal or gas and gas fire pits are still allowed at this time.  

This ban is effective immediately and will remain in effect until further notice.

Welcome to the Camas-Washougal Fire Department (CWFD)

The Camas and Washougal Fire Departments are consolidated as one agency through a contract for service, providing both fire, fire prevention and emergency medical services to our citizens.  We also provide emergency medical services to citizens outside city limits along with mutual aid fire protection to neighboring departments.
