Dallas Street Neighborhood Improvements beginning the week of April 2nd: NE 17th Ave to NE 21st Ave (Dallas Street extends to the north from Crown Park at the intersection of NE 17th Ave, for reference)

Note: Dallas Street will not be open to “through traffic” during the day as work progresses. Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes, if possible to avoid potential traffic delays.

This project will be funded by a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) of almost $300k, and additional funding of $344k from the Camas Water/Sewer fund. CDBG Funds originate with the US Department of HUD, and are administered through Clark County as a competitive Grant Program. Camas competes with other agencies in Clark County for these funds.

Improvements include new water and sewer piping to serve the neighborhood, followed by sidewalk improvements on the west side and rehabilitation of the roadway. Tapani, Inc. of Battle Ground will be the contractor. They will begin moving equipment and materials into the area beginning Monday, April 2nd. Construction is expected to take about 10-12 weeks, depending on the weather.
