Join the City of Camas in celebrating the newest park to be added to the City’s popular parks, trails and open space system. A dedication ceremony will be held on Wednesday, May 10, from 4:00 PM to 5:00PM to celebrate Cooper’s View Park, the 14th public park in Camas, and to honor the namesake of the park and the history of the site. Mayor Scott Higgins and Parks Commissioner Randy Curtis will host the ceremony.
Cooper’s View Park features a nature-themed play area with slide, log tunnel, boulders and large stepping stones, 2 picnic tables (with inlaid checkerboards), a seating wall, and trail. Krista Bashaw, Special Events Coordinator mentioned that “The park is a nice spot to bring younger kids for some fun playground activity. The view is lovely, so picnics would be ideal here. And, I heard that the hill at the park was well-used during this past winter’s snow days!”
The dedication will happen rain or shine, with light refreshments to be served. To RSVP, contact Krista Bashaw at 360-817-7991 or firstname.lastname@example.org. For directions to the site, you can mapquest the address at 712 N.W. 27th Ave., Camas, WA 98607 or contact Krista by May 9 to have directions emailedto you.
