The City recently conducted a tree assessment of the open space above NW Lake road between NW Lacamas Lane and NW Sierra. This assessment was performed as a proactive follow-up to tree damage that occurred in this area following significant weather events this past winter. The assessment has identified 18 trees that will need to be taken down to avoid potential threats that could impact NW Lake Road. All trees will be left on site to provide a source of habitat and nutrients that will assist other species found within this area. Work is tentatively scheduled for April 3-7, 2017. There will be some minor delays along Lake Road during this time to allow workers to access the slope and take down the trees. For questions, please contact Denis Ryan, Public Works Operations Supervisor, at (360) 817-1563.
