Please join us on Thurs., Jan. 23, 2020, at Lacamas Lake Lodge, 6 p.m., for a Project Update Meeting on the Lake-Everett Intersection. Before a question-and-answer session open to all attendees, there will be a slideshow presentation about:
– The history of the project
– The final design of the roundabout, including landscape features
– The function and features of the roundabout
– The timeline for construction
– The plan for handling traffic during construction
Visit the Project Page – Visit www.cityofcamas.us/lakeroad to review the project background and materials before the event.
How Did We Get Here? – Your attendance at Community Open House 1 (Feb. 26, 2019) and 2 (April 9, 2019), submission of emails and comments cards (January 2019 – Present), and participation in two online project surveys (Survey 1: Feb. 22 – March 11, 2019, and Survey 2: April 9-21, 2019) have been essential to this project. Thank you to everyone who has provided input!
Based on Public Input –
> On May 6, the project team recommended a roundabout concept to the Camas City Council.
> With their approval, since May the project team has been developing design and implementation plans and securing construction funding.
> On Nov. 7, 2019, the Project Advisory Committee/Landscape Design Committee convened for the final time and their closing recommendations were incorporated into the plan.
> On Nov. 18, 2019, at the Camas City Council workshop, the project team presented its landscaping plans and roundabout simulations, which received Council consensus.
> Coming up on Jan. 23, 2020, we look forward to sharing the finalized plans with meeting attendees.
